Hello Readers!
Earlier this week we read an article about Earth Day. We learned about a school that works hard to learn about the environment and take care of it. I’m sure that you do a lot in your lives that you might not realize. Share what your familiy does at home. What else do you think that you could do to save resources, reduce waste, and protect the planet?

Well my family uses energy saving light bulbs. We try to use my dads car that saves gas, and we all compost.
My family uses the curly lightbulbs that save energy and we also recycle. We are going to start composting and we turn off the lights and TV when not needed.

Our family always turns off the lights when were not in the room. We also turn off the T.V. when we leave a room. I think that its extremely important that we all pitch in with helping to saving our planet!

My family composts and we recycle. We also turn off the light and television when not needed. My family recently got special recycling so now we can recycle almost anything!
It sounds like all of your families try and conserve energy by turning off lights and unused appliances. That is a great way to save electricity! The Compact Flourescent bulbs can save hundreds of dollars in a house. If you don’t use them, try and convice your familiy – maybe you can get them to give you the money they save! Phia, does your family use the compost you make? ilanimals, don’t forget about Green Up Day in early May if you want to pick up lots of trash. What ideas do you have about how we can save more resources – even if your family does not do it?
My family recycles and we do not pollute. We should take care of this planet because it’s the only one we can live on.
This Saturday is Green Up Day in Vermont! What will you do to help clean up our state? Keep the ideas about HOW we can protect our planet.
I think we should go around everywhere as you possibly can.

First I will do my backyard, then my neighborhood, then where we go sledding! (Once I found a dirty diaper, there!)
